Delete your Mega account
You can ask Mega to delete your account and the personal data tied to it. You do not need the Android app installed. This page is public.
How to request deletion
- Send the form below from an email address we can reply to.
- Enter the email or phone number on the Mega account you want deleted.
- We verify that the request matches that account, then delete or anonymize the data described below.
- We email you when the request is finished. We aim to do that within 30 days.
You can also email help@mega.co.ke with the subject “Account deletion request” and the email or phone on the account.
What we delete
After we verify the request, we delete or anonymize your profile (name, email, phone), password, saved sign-in, addresses, wishlist, and marketplace messages. Vendor shop details that identify you are removed. Product listings may stay available until they are taken down, without your personal contact details attached.
What we may keep
Order and payment records can be kept where Kenyan tax, accounting, or fraud-prevention rules require it. Those records are deleted or anonymized when that period ends. We may also keep a short note that a deletion request was completed, without the contents of your account.
